A Ministra da Imigração do Canadá, Lena Metlege Diab, anunciou oficialmente as novas categorias do Express Entry para 2026, reforçando uma seleção mais estratégica e alinhada às necessidades da economia canadense.
As mudanças envolvem novas categorias prioritárias, atualização das listas de NOCs e aumento do tempo mínimo de experiência exigida para algumas categorias já existentes.

Novas categorias anunciadas para 2026
O governo passa a priorizar:
– Médicos com experiência de trabalho no Canadá
– Pesquisadores e gestores seniores com experiência canadense
– Profissionais da área de transporte (como pilotos e mecânicos aeronáuticos)
– Militares estrangeiros altamente qualificados recrutados pelas Forças Armadas Canadenses, como médicos, enfermeiros e pilotos
Além disso, foram renovadas categorias já existentes, incluindo:
– Proficiência em francês
– Saúde e serviços sociais
– Educação
– STEM (Ciência, Tecnologia, Engenharia e Matemática)
– Trades (profissões técnicas)
Atenção à nova exigência de experiência
O requisito mínimo de experiência passou de 6 meses para 1 ano de experiência nos últimos 3 anos, podendo ser no Canadá ou no exterior. Isso muda significativamente a elegibilidade de muitos candidatos.
Atualização das listas de NOCs nas category-based draws
A lista de ocupações elegíveis foi atualizada. Isso significa que algumas ocupações saíram, outras foram incluídas e você precisa confirmar se seu NOC ainda está dentro da categoria. Muitos profissionais que antes se enquadravam podem não estar mais elegíveis e vice-versa.

Importante: não haverá aumento no número total de convites.
O governo confirmou que o volume de convites continuará dentro das metas estabelecidas no Immigration Levels Plan 2026–2028. Ou seja, não há aumento de vagas e a seleção se torna mais direcionada e estratégica. Isso significa que estar bem posicionado nunca foi tão importante.
